Start by checking the power supply, connections, RF/AF status, frequency spectrum, antennas, and audio signal path.

  • If the RF level drops or the diversity reception becomes unstable, check the RF link first.

  • If RF is stable but the AF signal disappears, check the transmitter input, mute status, and audio output.

  • If both RF and AF appear normal, check the mixer, signal routing, and sound reinforcement system.

Step-by-Step Troubleshooting

1. Confirm the Equipment and Frequency Information

Confirm the transmitter and receiver models, operating frequency band, and current frequency. Record where and when the problem occurs.

2. Check Power, Cables, Antennas, and Connections

Check the batteries, power supply, antennas, coaxial cables, audio cables, and connectors. Make sure there are no loose connections, damaged cables, or incorrect connections.

3. Record the Problem Before Testing

Record the location and time when the problem occurs, together with the operating status of the equipment.

Then perform short-distance, maximum-distance, and walk-around tests to determine whether the problem is related to coverage or the environment.

4. Scan the RF Spectrum

After all equipment used at the venue has been powered on, scan the RF spectrum.

Avoid frequencies affected by strong signals, broadband noise, or existing RF users.
